Since 2007, the Los Vega brand has built a reputation for its groundbreaking silhouettes focusing on producing only one style of sneakers—high-tops. Founded by apparel designer Hidetoshi Honma, the Japanese footwear brand was established only after the launch of his fashion label “Oraqle” where he released a high-top sneaker named “Lost Vegas” attributing it to the decadent times of the 60s in Las Vegas. Known for combining an interesting blend of materials with detailed colorways, every collection comes full-circle based around a decorative theme with a narrative to showcase the inspiration behind each design. The brand’s pursuit of following a singular type of silhouette has only leveraged the Los Vega brand in building a solid reputation and gaining a loyal following from celebrity figures including Thom York of Radiohead and the Black Eyed Peas.

About Hidetoshi Honma

Japanese designer Hidetoshi Honma studied fashion design and founded the apparel brand “Oraqle” before launching the Los Vega footwear brand in 2007. Using quality materials and distinctive cuts, Honma uses the silhouette of high-top sneakers as a canvas to tell a story for each collection. Inspired by contemporary art, electronic music, nature and the noise of Tokyo’s city life, Honma pursues to create timeless pieces, often resistant in building a collection based on seasonal trends. He has been featured in major industry publications including Honeyee, HYPEBEAST, WWD, and more.
